The Kaitoke Weir allows us to abstract raw water from the Hutt River and send it to the Te Mārua Water Treatment Plant.
This weir requires some maintenance work which will be undertaken in March and April 2024. During this time, members of the public will not be able to access the weir.
The Kaitoke Weir Track and the Te Mārua Vehicle Access are both scheduled to reopen mid-May 2024.
The Norbert Creek Track will still be accessible but please take extra care on the short road section.
