Tiaki Wai amalgamated with Wellington Water on 1 July 2026 and is the new organisation delivering water services across Wellington, Hutt, Porirua and Upper Hutt cities. This website is being updated to reflect this change, but some content remains in the name of Wellington Water and is subject to ongoing review.
The Water Network Plans for the Wellington region help provide an understanding of the water network.
These plans map out where all the drinking water assets are, including the drinking water pipes, fire hydrants, pump stations, reservoirs and valves. These plans also show information about the diameter, material, and year installed for the drinking water pipes.
